We’re proud to share that our Deaconess Abundant Life Services team recently sponsored a program about memory health, hosted by the Liberty Alzheimer’s Partnership and Lexington Human Services.

The event featured Dr. Elizabeth Vassey of the Boston Center for Memory, who presented on understanding memory changes, navigating early concerns, and accessing the right supports. Dr. Vassey walked participants through:

  • The first steps to take when one suspects a dementia diagnosis, including which professionals to consult and when
  • The benefits and necessity of neuropsychological testing
  • An overview of what the Boston Center for Memory offers, from assessments to support services
  • Current clinical trial updates for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias

If you were unable to attend—or would like to revisit the conversation—you can watch the full program.

The afternoon highlighted the power of community education and the importance of early, informed action when it comes to memory health.
